Evidence before opinion
Every engagement starts by establishing what is actually true — the real state of the code, the data, the model, the system. We read the artefacts, run the tests, and measure. Opinions come after evidence, never before.
Decide the expensive things first
The decisions that are costly to reverse — architecture, data model, trust boundaries, the definition of “done” — get made first and made explicitly. We would rather spend a day arguing on paper than a quarter rebuilding.
Define working, then measure it
We write down what “working” means before we build toward it: evaluations, regression suites, performance and reliability targets. For AI systems this is the difference between a convincing demo and a system you can operate.
Observable, documented, operable
We finish by making the system yours: instrumented so its behaviour is visible, documented so it can be maintained, and handed over so your team can operate and change it without us. No lock-in, no black boxes.
Why it matters to you
When we build, Keel means the product is stable enough to change quickly later. When we audit or run diligence, it means findings are evidence-based and defensible — the same assessment, whether it is pointed at your own platform or at a target you are about to acquire.
